While Downtown....
Make sure to visit the historic A.C. Freeman House built in 1903. The restored home is on the National Register of Historic Places and now houses a museum on the first floor and the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce on the second floor. Just a short walk from the heart of historic downtown Punta Gorda, it's open Monday thru Friday from 10 am to 5 pm. Historical tours are given Mondays and Fridays from 11 am to 3 pm and during Gallery Walk the third Thursday evening of every month.

With the price of gas these days, isn't it great to be able to drive, bike or walk to our own small-town downtown for an evening of free fun? There's live entertainment, food and drink samplings, art demonstrations and exhibits, and a free trolley.

Punta Gorda Trolley Tours
Admission: $7.50 per person

The Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce will be running Discovery Punta Gorda Trolley Tours. Leaving from the Chamber office in Fishermen's Village, these tours will last approximately 2½ hours and will visit a wide variety of chamber businesses as you make your way around the city of Punta Gorda, guided by a local historian. The tour is ideal for visitors, new residents or longtime Punta Gorda residents who simply want to get reacquainted with what this exciting city has to offer. Tickets are limited and need to be reserved in advance by calling 941-639-3720 during office hours. Tickets are $7.50 per person. Please note: riders will need to be able to disembark from the trolley at each stop.
